The problem

Copy arrives in Google Docs. The layout lives in InDesign. Every revision means copying, pasting, and re-applying the paragraph styles by hand — and on a hundred-page report, that is a day of work that produces nothing new.

DriveSync connects a Google Doc or Sheet to a text frame in your InDesign document. When the writer changes something, you press Sync, and only the words change.
Paragraph styles, character styles, local overrides, spacing, tracking, your carefully adjusted table column widths — all of it survives. Every time.
Tables stay tables
Cell text is updated in place. Row and column counts, table and cell styles, strokes, fills and insets are untouched — including column widths you narrowed by hand to fit the page.
Images land once
Pictures come in on the first sync and are then left alone, so a later text update never re-flows or duplicates artwork you have already positioned.

What DriveSync is not
It is not a collaborative editor and there is no live cursor. It does not merge simultaneous edits, and it will not design anything for you. It moves text and tables from Google into a layout you have already built, and refuses to disturb the rest.
