Refund Policy
Fourteen days, no questions about what you tried.
The window
If you tell us within fourteen days of paying that DriveSync is not what you needed, we refund the full amount. That includes GST where it was charged.
The fourteen days run from the date of payment, not from when you got round to installing it. If that is genuinely unfair in your case — the licence was bought while the person who needed it was away, say — write and say so. We are not looking for a technicality.
Why we do it this way
There is a fourteen-day trial before you pay, so most people know before they buy. The refund window exists for the case the trial cannot cover: the document that only turns up in production, the InDesign upgrade that lands the week after, the workflow that turns out to have a step nobody mentioned.
We do not ask you to prove you used it properly. If it did not work for you, that is the answer.
How to ask
Email gdsoftwares@thedrivesync.com from the address the licence is registered to and say you would like a refund. There is no form.
We reply within one working day and process the refund the same day we reply. Getting back to your card or bank takes as long as your bank takes — usually five to ten working days, and out of our hands once it has left ours.
What happens to the licence
The licence ends when the refund is issued. Seats are released, and DriveSync stops working on the machines that were using them.
Your InDesign documents are unaffected. Text that has already been synced is ordinary InDesign text: it stays in your layout, styled as it is, and does not need DriveSync to open, edit or print. What you lose is the ability to sync again.
After fourteen days
The year is not refundable once the window has closed, including if you stop using DriveSync partway through. What you can do at any time is cancel the renewal, so the licence runs to the end of the period you paid for and then stops without charging you again. See subscription and licensing for how.
Two exceptions, because they are ours rather than yours: if we withdraw support for a version of InDesign you are covered for and cannot offer a working alternative, or if we end your licence for a reason that is not your fault, we refund the unused part of the year.
Larger teams
Licences bought on invoice follow the same fourteen days, counted from the invoice payment date. If you need a different arrangement written into a purchase order, ask before you raise it and we will put it in writing.
Anything unclear
Ask gdsoftwares@thedrivesync.com before you buy. A question answered in advance costs everyone less than a refund.
