What you need to run DriveSync

Adobe InDesign 2026 on macOS or Windows. DriveSync installs for InDesign 2026 only and does not modify any other version you have installed.
A Google account with access to the documents you want to sync. A free personal account is fine; Workspace accounts work too.
An internet connection. There is no offline mode.
No administrator rights required. The installer copies into your own user folder.

Future InDesign versions

DriveSync currently supports Adobe InDesign 2026. Support for InDesign 2027 will be released as a free update when Adobe ships it, and is included in your subscription at no extra cost. The same applies to versions after that, for as long as your licence is active.

Keeping up with each year’s InDesign release is one of the things your subscription pays for. You will not be asked to buy DriveSync again because Adobe brought out a new version.

Older InDesign versions

InDesign 2025 and earlier are not supported, and the installers refuse them rather than guessing. That is deliberate: a plugin that half-works in a version nobody tested it against is worse than one that declines to install.

If your studio is held on an older version for a reason, write and say which one and why. We are not promising anything, but we would rather know than not.
